Rodger Dean Andrews was born on December 26, 1925 in Arkansas. He entered the military service in Washington and served in the 37th Engineer Combat Battalion as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action but was declared "Missing" on June 6, 1944 and is memorialized on the Tablets of the Missing, Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France. His body was recovered in 2024 and he was buried where his cenotaph was once located in the Bethel Cemetery, Gravette, Benton County, Arkansas, USA.
