Virgil Mounts was born on September 15, 1925. He was the son of William Harrison Mounts and Nancy Louise Hackney Mounts. Virgil served in the 6th Naval Beach Battalion as a Hospital Apprentice 1st Class during World War II. He died on June 8, 1944 at the age of 18 and is now buried in the Coeburn Point Cemetery, Huddy, Pike County, Kentucky, USA.
