From Franklin County, Kentucky
Worked at a Machine shop before enlisting.
Enlisted 15 June 1942 at the age of 20 with one year of college education.
Part of MACR #745.
Flight engineer/top turret gunner for the B-17 42-30646 when it was shot down on 4 October 1943. Taken as POW after parachuting into Weisbaum.
Sent to Stalag 17B near Krems, Austria.
The last report of him was made on 3 July 1945. Based on these he was imprisoned for almost 2 years. He was later liberated.
