Alfred J. Del Negro was born on 1915. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II as a First Lieutenant in the 354th Fighter Squadron, 355th Fighter Group. He entered the service in Maryland. On November 29, 1943, he disappeared at the controls of the P-47D (42-7996) WR D without any shots of flak or enemy aircraft being observed in the vicinity. Alfred was declared "Missing In Action" . His name is commemorated at the Tablets of the Missing, Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial Coton, South Cambridgeshire District, Cambridgeshire, England.
