Clarence Eugene “Gene” Donaldson was born on January 26, 1922. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II as a Second Lieutenant in the 354th Fighter Squadron, 355th Fighter Group. He entered the service in Illinois. Pilot of the P-51B / 43-6574, killed in action on May 20, 1944 in Germany. He is now buried in Sunset Memorial Park, Danville, Vermilion County, Illinois, USA.
