When Everett Paul Harvey was born on March 4, 1921, in Happy, Texas, his father, Louis, was 40 and his mother, Otomie, was 27. He had two brothers and two sisters. He enlisted on September 15, 1942, in Lubbock, Texas.

He died of injuries after being struck by a P-51 on June 10, 1944. He is now buried in Cambridge American Cemeter, and Memorial Coton, South Cambridgeshire District, Cambridgeshire, England. He also has a marker at Happy Cemetery, Happy, Swisher County, Texas, USA.
