When Donald W. Brininstool was born on July 12, 1921, in Michigan, his father, William, was 38 and his mother, Jennie, was 32. He had three brothers and three sisters. Don Brininstool was a paratrooper who served in the 101st Airborne Division, Company "A" in the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment. He fought in Normandy, Holland, and Bastogne. He ended his military service as a Sergeant. He died on March 22, 2009 and is now buried in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Jackson, Jackson County, Michigan, USA.
