Justo Correa was born July 17, 1924 to Antonio and Jesusa (Ramos) Correa in McDonna, Texas, but had lived most all of his life in the Carrizo Springs area where he had been a contractor in fence building. He served as a Sergeant in the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment during the Normandy invasion of World War II. On May 10, 1948, he married Alicia Galan in Carrizo Springs where they continued to make their home and rear their family. He died on November 21, 2005 at 81 years of age due to an extended illness and is now buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Carrizo Springs, Dimmit County, Texas, USA.
