John L. Davis was born on 1919. He served as a Corporal, 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment in the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army during Normandy Invasion of World War II. He resided in Baltimore, Maryland prior to the war, where he enlisted on February 4, 1942. He was noted as being employed as a Skilled pattern and model maker and also as Single, without dependents. John was "Killed In Action" during the war on June 11, 1944 and was awarded the Purple Heart. He is now buried in Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, Colleville-sur-Mer, Departement du Calvados, Basse-Normandie, France.
