When Nicholas A. Distasi was born on February 8, 1925, his father, Lawrence, was 27 and his mother, Mary, was 22. He had one daughter with Catherine Distasi. He served in the U.S. Army during the Normandy Invasion of World War II as a Private in A Company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. He entered the service in New York. He died on June 6, 1974 and is now buried in Long Island National Cemetery, East Farmingdale, Suffolk County, New York, USA.
