When Adolph Block was born in 1896 in New York, his father, Frederick, was 35 and his mother, Eva, was 35. He had three brothers and six sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in the 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on June 14, 1918 and is now buried in Greenfield Cemetery, Uniondale, Nassau County, New York, USA. His death resulted from four wounds, apparently, received almost simultaneously.
