Henry Powel Daniels entered the service on October 26, 1916. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company F, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. Private Daniels served on the Mexican Border. He was embarked for overseas service in June, 1917. After arrival overseas, he was immediately sent to the front. He was declared "Missing in Action" on May 30, 1918 and is commemorated on Tablets of the Missing, Somme American Cemetery, Bony, France.
