William Fishetti was the son of Antonio and Angelo Fishetti. He was born on December 11, 1894 in Bisaccia, Italy. He came to U.S. (date not given) and was employed as a laborer in Richmond, Ind., when he enlisted in U.S. Regular Army in June, 1917. He was sent to Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Ind. and was assigned to Replacement Battalion. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company D, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on May 28, 1918 and is now buried in Somme American Cemetery, Bony, France.
