Lorenzo Ganadu was born in the village of Sassari in or about 1897 to Giovanni and Giovanna Maria Palitta. He emigrated to America and settled in Myerstown, PA. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company D, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on May 28, 1918 but his current burial is unknown.
