When George William "Sargie" Lee and his twin brother George William 'Sargie' were born on May 16, 1887, in Kearney, Nebraska, their father, William, was 38, and their mother, Eliza, was 31. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company G, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was the first from Twin Falls County to die in battle on May 8, 1918 in France, was buried there temporarily and then his body returned and buried in West End Cemetery, Buhl, Twin Falls County, Idaho, USA.
