Born on 30 Sept 1900. Roger J. Nolfi died while serving in the US Army during World War I as a Private in Company A, 1st Ammunition Trains, 1st Infantry Division. He was severely injured by a shell that landed extremely close to his truck. He was taken to a French hospital for surgery and was recovering when he passed. Originally buried there, he was repatriated from Calais on 27 Feb 1921 and arrived at Hoboken, NJ on 14 Mar 1921. He is buried in Derry, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where his parents lived.
