Alexander J. Roth's mother is Mrs. Rose Roth. Before enlisting, he was employed in the New York office of the Schuylkill Silk Mills of Reading, PA. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company K, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on May 20, 1918 due to gas attack but his current burial is unknown.
