When Arthur Radloff was born in September 1891 in Nebraska, his father, Johann, was 23 and his mother, Mary, was 23. He had one brother and two sisters. He entered the military service in Kansas. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company F, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on August 15, 1918 and is now buried in St. Mihiel American Cemetery, Thiaucourt, France.
