When Thomas P. Lynch was born on November 1, 1886, in Painesville, Ohio, his father, Thomas, was 41 and his mother, Bridget, was 36. He had one brother and three sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company A, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 18, 1918 and is now buried in Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, Seringes-et- Nesles, France.
