Forest D. Sebastian , of El Dorado, Illiois, 20 years old was one of the two American soldiers sentenced to death for sleeping on outpost duty in France and subsequently pardoned by President Wilson. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company G, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 2, 1918 and is now buried in Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, Seringes-et- Nesles, France. His name is inscribed on the Buzancy monument as PFC F T SEBASTIAN.
