When Aubrey William Woolsey was born on May 26, 1890, in Camden, Missouri, his father, William, was 38 and his mother, Margaret, was 30. He had four brothers and four sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company G, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division.
