Leslie C. Pearson enlisted in the US Army on May 3, 1917. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private First Class in Machine Gun Company, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 22, 1918 and is now buried in Hebron Cemetery, Mercer County, Kentucky, USA. PFC Pearson's remains were recovered and identified in 1937. His name is permanently inscribed on the Tablets of the Missing at the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery and Memorial.
