The site is located on a ridge line southwest of the town of Rechicourt-la-Petite. The location is known as Haut des Ruelles and is located about 2 kilometers from town center. Follow D23 west for 1 kilometer out of town and look for the sign on a dirt road to the "monument des 3 premiers Americans; 3 novembre 1917". (Monument to the first 3 Americans killed on November 3, 1917). The site is 1 kilometer from D23 and can be seen in the distance on top of the ridgeline and adjacent to a large flag pole. The site is known locally as Monument Commémoratif aux Trois Premiers Morts Américains.
