Boffalora -Cemetery (Cimitero)

Description:

The site includes two memorials: one to a town son who died fighting in the US Army in WW1; the second for a pilot who was shot down and temporarily buried in the cemetery during WW2.

The site is located in the cemetery of the town of Buffalora sopra Ticino. Boffalora is located about 35 kilometers west of the city of Milan on the Lombardy/Piedmont border along the Ticino river, just south of Autostrada A4. The cemetery is located south of town center. . Special thanks to the Rotary Club-Magenta for placing the World War 2 memorial and to Air Crash Po (Cremona, Italy) for assistance in identifying this crash site and researching the incident.
