The site is the peak of Monte Altuzzo (924 meters), an objective during the September 1944 attack on the Gothic Line near Passo del Giogo (882 meters). The site is located in the Mufgello area in the Northern Tuscany. The site located on a reconstruction of a German Defensive bunker and is accessible along trails from Passo del Giogo (Giogo Pass). From Scarperia take SP503 (Via Del Giogo) to the Giogo pass. . Special Thanks to the Gothic Line Museum and Research Center (Gotica Toscana onlus) for the work they have done on the reconstructed bunkers and for assistance identifying this site.
