Castel d’Aiano – Hill 913 (Localita’ Riodomello)
Description:
The site has one memorial placed by the town to remember a 10th Mountain soldier who was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for bravery on Hill 813 in April 1945.

The site is located about 4 kilometers from the town of Castel D’Aiano. Castel d’Aiano is located in the Region of Emilia-Romagna and is about 50 kilometers southeast of Bologna. From Castel d’ Aiano head north on SP 623 to Via Pulano then to Via Riodomello. Very narrow Roads, but easily walkable. The site is located in the Localita’ (Locality) Riodomello, just under hill 913 which rises from the north edge of an east-west valley called Pra del Bianco. The site is hard to find.
