The site is located on a downtown hill next to a water tank and was the site of fighting during the WW2 Battle of Okinawa (Operation Iceberg). The site is located in Naha City on the Japanese Island of Okinawa. Naha is the Capital city of Okinawa and the site is located in the Makabi neighborhood about 500 meters for the Omoromachi Train station at the top of a conical shaped hill. The site is off road with pedestrian access only at the top of the steps.
