The site includes one memorial remembering the crash of a B-24 during a “Carpetbagger” mission to deploy OSS Soldiers as part of Operation Rype in Norway in 1945.

The site is very remote. It is located in the Plukkutjønnfjellet mountain peak near Snåsa in Middle Norway. Snåsa is a municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway, near the Blåfjella-Skjækerfjella National Park. The site is 7 miles northwest of Gjefsjøen fjellgård, the OSS HQ in WW2, and now a mountain lodge and closest access to the site.
