Hethel Church

Back to Search Result

Description:

At the churchyard is a memorial set for the 389th Bombardment Group (Heavy).

Address:

Church Lane , NR14 8HE , Hethel , Leicestershire , England , UK

Hethel is less than ten miles from Norwich, and its name is associated with the Lotus car factory, so you might think you will find yourself in industrialized suburbia. But this is an area of narrow lanes and woodlands, bypassed by the traffic on the main London and Ipswich roads. The church itself is remote from its houses, set at the end of a rough road that peters out into a track. From Wymondham via the B1135, turn left up the B1113 and take the first left (Cranes Road). Turn left at the next crossroads, the cul-de-sac signposted to the church.
