Description:

The site contains a monument to the 392nd Bomb Group which operated at RAF Wendling during World War II. Beeston is where the aerodrome's domestic and administrative sites were located. At the south end of the village is the village of Wendling which the airfield base was named.

Located at the Beeston Road and Herne Lane intersection, on the south side of the town. It is also situated at the entrance road to the town.
