The site includes one memorial to the “Major of Saint-Lô”, a Battalion Commander of the 116th Infantry, who led the of the liberation of Saint-Lô during Operation Cobra in July 1944.

The site is on the east side of centerville and is about 200 meters from Église (Church) Sainte-Croix. The site is on the road between Saint-Lô – Bayeux (D-972).
