Description of Site: The site includes three memorials: one remembering the two US Army Divisions 90th and 97th Infantry Divisions) that liberated the camp; one remembering the German Lutheran pastor, theologian, and anti-Nazi dissident, Dietrich Bonheoffer, and one remembering two unknown American airmen who died while liberating the camp.

The site is located at the Flossenbürg Concentration Camp (Gedenkstätte Flossenbürg) in Flossenbürg, Germany. Flossenbürg is a municipality in the district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab in Bavaria in Germany, very close to the Czech border. The site is located “Tal des Todes” (Valley of Death) section of the memorial on the upper wall just below the church.
