The site is located at the island of Borkum War memorial (Kriegerdenkmal). Borkum is an island and a municipality in the Leer District in Lower Saxony, northwestern Germany. It is situated east of Rottumeroog and west of Juist and is westernmost of the East Frisian Islands in the North Sea. The site is located on the edge of the war memorial park adjacent to Kirchstrasse on the west side of the island.
