Inside the cemetery is the grave of LCpl Gordon G. White, a Canadian who died during the Vietnam War while serving in the United States Marine Corps.

The cemetery is situated on the south side of Fort McMurray near the city center. The entrance gate to the cemetery is about 130 meters west of Nixon Street and Biggs Avenue junction.
