Description:
The site contains a monument to the Battle of the Pockets. This was one of the important engagements that stopped the Japanese advancement in Jan/Feb 1942. The USAFFE won a great victory over the Japanese, the soldiers were mostly from the Philippine Army and the Philippine Scouts of the US Army.

The site is the welcome archway of Bagac, Bataan. The memorial is easy to see as it is only a few steps away from the arch. The marker is not exactly at the battle area.
