The site contains a plaque in remembering the B-17 #42-32086 which crash-landed on the plain after being hit over Germany on September 10, 1944.

The site is situated on the western outskirts of Champlay approximately 4km from the town hall. Exit the town via D182/Grand Rue and travel to the west for about 3.8 km. The road will end at a triangle intersection then take the road going north without taking any other roads or paths. The memorial is on the west side of the road.
