The village of Noordwolde is about 56 kilometers south-south-east of Leeuwarden and 10 kilometers northeast of the Leeuwarden Meppel road. It is on a secondary road from this main road to Makkuga and Oosterwolde. The churchyard surrounds the church, which is on the northern outskirts of the village. The graves are near the western boundary.
