Description:

The site contains a monument commemorating the two Americans, Staff Sergeant Willis Harless, a machine gunner who was killed, and Lieutenant James Zimermann, a co-pilot who was taken prisoner by the German when their B24 bomber was hit by German anti-aircraft fire during World War II.

The Cimetière de Castries is situated about 1.1 km southeast of the Castries town hall. The monument is located on the right lawn outside the entrance of the cemetery along the D26 road.
