Description:

The site has a monument and an information board commemorating the B-17G Flying Fortress #43-38847 which crashed in the area and killed all the crew and passengers during World War II.

Address:

, SY8 , Ludlow , Shropshire , England , UK

The site is located on the northern outskirts of Clee Hill Village, approximately 1.7 miles north of the village hall. Known as Dhustone Quarry or Clee Hill Quarry, it remains an active extraction site. The memorial sits on elevated ground overlooking the quarry, enclosed by a wooden fence, with a designated area for gatherings and ceremonies. To reach the site from Clee Hill Village, head northeast on A4117 toward Dhustone Lane and follow the road uphill for about 1 mile. Continue straight until you encounter a cattle grid and gate, as shown in the provided image. From there, take the right-hand path, and after approximately 160 meters, you will find a parking area and access track leading to the memorial.
