Next to the parking area is a monument commemorating the American soldiers of the 103rd Infantry (Cactus) Division who participated in the liberation of the area during World War II.

The site is a parking area which is situated in the town center about 300 meters southwest of the Val-de-Moder town hall, at the Place de la République and Rue des Jardins junction. Val-de-Moder is a commune that was established by merging the former communes of Pfaffenhoffen, Uberach, and La Walck on January 1, 2016.
