The museum is situated about 2.6km south of the Smithfield center, at Skyrail Drive, Kamerunga Road, and Cairns Western Arterial Road intersection. The Museum is the fourth largest Armor museum in the world behind Saumur (France), Bovington (UK) and Munster (Germany).
