Schmolln City Park
Description:
The site contains a rough-hewn sandstone monument commemorating Schmölln’s peaceful surrender to advance elements of 76th Infantry Division and 6th Armored Division, as well as initial Allied occupation under command of Company I, 304th Infantry Regiment at the end of World War II.

The site is situated within Schmölln Park, approximately 1.3 kilometers west of Schmölln City Hall, along the western edge of the park. It lies just south of Ronneburger Straße, near Ronneburger Str. 53, with convenient access from the roadway.
