The site is located on the historic island of Corregidor – “Top-side” just west off the parade grounds in the woods of Corregidor Island. Corregidor Island is located at the entrance of Manila Bay in southwestern part of Luzon Island in the Philippines. Due to this location, Corregidor has historically been fortified with coastal artillery to defend the entrance of Manila Bay and Manila. Corregidor is also known as "The Rock" for its rocky landscape and the heavy fortifications. Corregidor Island is part of the city of Cavite in the Cavite Province. Access to the island is by ferry from the mainland. The site is on the edge of the Top Side Parade field near the lighthouse, and Pacific War Memorial.
