Plaque
A square black plaque written in French in gold lettering. The plaque honors Lt Judels’ bravery as a member of the 101st Airborne Division, who parachuted into Normandy during the D-Day operations in June 1944. The plaque also pays tribute to his mother, Mrs. Cécilia Judels, for her significant contributions to the community after the war. She was named a Knight of the Legion of Honor and an honorary citizen of Saint-Côme-du-Mont on December 5, 1954, as a token of the town's gratitude and recognition of her efforts in aiding the village's reconstruction. The plaque was inaugurated on June 6, 2015.
