Howard R. Krueger was born on October 8, 1922 in Sauk County, Wisconsin. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Corporal in Company F, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. He was killed with the combat in the valley of Salm during the battle of the Bulge (Belgium) on January 4, 1945 at the age of 22. He is now buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Baraboo, Sauk County, Wisconsin, USA.
