Stanley Vinson Bray Forsythe was born on August 29, 1917 in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. He was the son of Edward Bray and Elsie Josephine Lee/Swedblom/Bray Forsythe. Stanley was in the 1st Infantry Division, 1st Battalion of the 18th Regiment, Company A. Stanley died in action at the Battle of Aachen on Crucifix Hill. He was buried temporarily, probably at the Henri-Chapelle Cemetery in Belgium. His body was repatriated and brought to Fort Snelling for burial on 13 November 1947.
