LeRoy Bauman was born on March 12, 1924 in Schoeneck, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Isaac Berkey Bauman and Mary Wenger Steffy Bauman. LeRoy served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 1st Infantry Division. He died from his wounds received in battle at Luchem, Germany on December 4, 1944 and is now buried in Gettysburg National Cemetery, Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania, USA.
