Sefers Booth was born on October 9, 1921. He was the son of Willie B. Booth and Ovelia Murphy Booth. Sefers served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on November 17, 1944 at the age of 23 and is now buried in Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery, Indian Village, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, USA.
