George Chatz graduated from Austin Hight School (Illinois) and De Paul University. He enlisted in the Army in October 1942. He served as a Private in the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on November 23, 1944 in Belgium and is now buried in Westlawn Cemetery, Norridge, Cook County, Illinois, USA. He was survived by his widow Ruth, as well as his parents and three brothers.
