Bernard Kotin was born on April 5, 1910. He was the son of Elias Kotin and Rose Spuntoff Kotin. Bernard served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Captain in the 33rd Field Artillery Battalion, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on November 24, 1944 in Germany at the age of 34 and is now buried in Waldheim Jewish Cemetery, Forest Park, Cook County, Illinois, USA.
